About Diabetes Australia–NSW
and the NSW Corporate Games
Diabetes Australia–NSW is a member based charitable
organisation which is 99.7% self funded, and is the only organisation
caring for all people with diabetes. Our mission is to serve the
best interests of all people affected by diabetes; to identify the
undiagnosed and to drive research into finding a cure. Our core
business is to management, detection and prevention.
An opportunity existed for Diabetes Australia-NSW to have
a greater role in the NSW Corporate Games rather than just being
the Official Games Charity. In an Australian, if not a world first,
Diabetes Australia–NSW has bought the rights to administer
the NSW Corporate Games and will now manage all aspects including
sponsorship, marketing and operations. This increased involvement
will not only raise much needed funds for the fight against diabetes,
it will also provide assistance in running more awareness campaigns
in an attempt to slow down the rate of prevalence of Australia's
fastest growing disease!
